·         Characterization of the long-term viscoelastic behavior of polymers under uniaxial and biaxial stress states and various environmental conditions.

·         Accelerated life testing of polymers under cyclic loading conditions.

·         Linear and nonlinear viscoelastic fracture mechanics of polymers and polymer nanocomposites.

·         Full-field noncontact deformation measurements on solid polymers, the method is especially suitable for the measurements of strains and strain gradients on soft polymers.

·         Analytical solutions of viscoelastic structural problems, and numerical solutions of linear and nonlinear viscoelastic problems using finite element software such as ABAQUS.

·         Nanoindentation using MTS Nano Indenter XP System with Dynamic Contact Module (DCM) and Continuous Stiffness Measurement (CSM) Module for measurements of local surface viscoelastic properties of coatings and other very small amounts of polymers.

·         Measurements and modeling of moisture diffusion rate in polymers.

·         Measurements of (linear or nonlinear) static and dynamic coefficients of friction of polymers.
